A Welcoming Message from Sr. Joanna Okereke, HHCJ

Welcome to NAACUS web-site. The United States Catholic Church has a long tradition of welcoming the strangers and is always concerned about the pastoral care for newcomers, migrants, refugees and travelers.  As one of the five areas of the Secretariat of Cultural Diversity in the Church, PCMRT has a critical role in supporting, and assisting the dioceses, national organizations, and movements in the pastoral care of migrants, refugees and travelers, especially the Africans.

I encourage all African Catholics to be committed, active, dynamic and ready to offer their time and talents in visible ways within their different parishes and communities. It is through our dedicated service that we can share the light of Christ with others. We hope you will get valuable resources on our webpage. Thank you, (Merci, Imela, Aske, Ashi, Keyi tapon, Abum, Meda W’ase, Dalu, Medagse, Baie dankie, Gadd ga, Melesi, Murakoze, Asante, Wuanka, Osyo, Niwaro, Otyo, Wurnka, Oshe, Abuimgang, Mudo, Mudu,Bisse, Eswau, Abui ngan, Grazie, Obrigado, Obrigada, Dziynki, Hvala, Dziekuje, Dik’, Dyakooyu, Spasibi and many others).

The PCMRT is committed to share your concerns, to focus on areas where pastoral care and support are mostly needed, and to enhance the pastoral outreach to Africans in the different dioceses and parishes in the United States. Please let us know what we can do to support you and the different African Catholic Initiatives you are engaged in so that you can become empowered, integrated and active members of the United States Church.

"I encourage all African Catholics to be committed, active, dynamic
and ready to offer their time and talents in visible ways within their different parishes and communities."
